Security light came on and dont know what the security light is or what kind of problem it might be

The security system is engaged. Unlock driver side door manually with key and see if light stops flashing then try to start.

so what is the question
if the lamp glows the operators guide says what>?
it says, use the other key fob, that came new with car.
if one fob dead, and other good, replace batteries in both (smart)
or just the dead one.
if that dont fix it , scan the PCM for why.
or i that';s too hard.

the security lights can be 2 kinds, two systems.
one is called alarm
the other is immoblizer.
one makes noise,( i defeat them all)
the other kills the engine.
no symptoms stated (full)
no photo of lamp glowing.

The Security features are installed into the ecu at the dealership. you can unplug the battery for 15 minutes and then re connect them this resets sensor codes and such but im pretty sure that your problem will still persist. i know for a fact that even if you replaced the ecu the security features will not let the vehicle run without pairing the new ecu with the existing security features.

next time you try to start the car just put the key in and turn the ignition on dont try to start it to see if your security light comes on. if any kind of security light come on or flashes call a dealer to find out how to reset the system. if u have the wireless transponder for the security the battery may have gone dead

Check your manual if you have it. I believe you need to have the key in the ignition in the ON position for about 10 minutes to reset the security system.

Well, if you have a problem with the security system not allowing you to crank, then you have a problem that can be fixed only by the dealer.

Check your key and verify that it doesn't have a dirty or wet resistor on the security ignition key. This is a common problem with this type of security system.

if your security light flashing it will not start. you let it flash for 10 to 15 min then it should stop. turn the key off then try to start the car. if it does start you need a ignition lock cylinder

Ignition switch faulty.

its due to a blown fuse in the fuse panel that is for the illumination. does the security system work and do its purpose? if so, then its definitely the electrical output to the light.

Do the non working bulb holders have power at the bulb terminals?If not back track to the one that works.The flow of power or earth is bad and its probably happening between working and non working.Do you have a trailer plug?make sure the joins are secure.Maybe two wires touching?Have you put an earth to one of the bulb holders that dont work.Try taking the working bulb out and see if the others light up,Hard to do or suggest test without vehicle there to work on and makes it hard not knowing exactly what tests youve done but suggested a couple in the hope that theres something that helps.Good luck
