When turning sharp at slow speeds the front end hops like it is locked in 4 wheel drive but the hubs are unlocked. while driving at normal speeds it pulls to the left until I steer sharply to the right and it corrects for a while. but now the front feels like it is coming out because it pulls hard to the left and right and is almost impossible to drive.

sounds like the problem is in the valving in the steering box. You may have to get a new steering box. i would get it checked.

Have you checked the U-joints in the front axle for the 4X4? If those U-joints are are tying up they will affect the steering. Good luck!

No adjustment, sound like gearbox has failed, be sure to flush power steering system before installing new gearbox.

it could be the front axle u-joint binding up. i had the same problem, and that's what it was. i put greaseable u-joints on both sides.
