Replace the day time running light module. Early years are a separate module. Usually they are on the driver side under the dash. These can be bypassed..Find an electricial that works on cars.
the shifter wont move, or moves to park but park does not work?
try to be clear.
are you on flat ground?
are you against a curb
did you wiggle the steering and turn the key and wiggle the shifter to park? at once.

what wont shift?, the shifter or transmission or both?
won't go to park is clear. but;
1: are you on flat ground or on a hill parking to a curb.
vastly different rules there.
2: wont go into park so where does it go? everywhere buy park?
or flops around , like a loose Popsicle stick?
on flat ground the parking pawl in the tranny goes in easy.
on hills not so.. set the hand brake first, then park last.
on last, off first. (or trouble brews)
or it may not ever get to park. if rammed against curb or rock, or?
Usually you are parked on a hil. If you don't put the parking brake once for you shift to park, the shifter will get stuck in park. Try it you may like it.

There is a relay to the left of the clutch on my 1996 Hilux. This was causing a similar problem for me. It is found on the left side, iside the car, left of the clutch pedal.
It's either a faulty starter inhibitor switch or a faulty starter solenoid. The fact that the fuel pump does not power up points strongly to the inhibitor switch. Try another one, they're not expensive.
Seat belts are usually not repairable. The only thing that can be done is to check and make sure nothing is stuck in it or that it is not twisted. You have the kind that is in the seat back itself. These are a little more difficult to remove from the seat because it is so easy to break the plastic trim covers.Best thing to do if not familiar with auto repair to go to the dealer or auto repair shop that you trust and have them repair it.Good luck.
