I recently had a snow storm and my battery light came on and I had the battery tested, but they said it was good. I checked the terminals and their not dirty. I also checked the car for a gas problem and I heard the fuel pump turn on when I had someone turn over the key. I also checked the spark plugs and the coil pack, I hooked my coil pack up to my buddy's Neon and it worked. I don't think it is the timing because it would start and not keep running? I also checked all the wires and they seem to be all hooked up... I think it might be the crank sensor, but I have no idea where the crank sensor is?
If you are asking about the battery light, there is a battery temperature sensor at the front of the battery tray to the right of the battery holddown hardware. If the snow loosened the wires or blocked the airflow to the sensor, the battery light will come on. The battery and alternator voltage can be correct, and the sensor will make the light come on.

My 04 neon sxt has about 47k on it and it will act like it is going to crank but wont turn over. after several trys it did turn over but the check engine light remained on. what could it be. Only had the car about 2 weeks. runs great and is in great condition. I have seen a car fax report on it and it said it had a new battery and starter installed at 35k. what could be causing this.
I have the exact same problems as you man, i was driving through the snow, battery light came on, but i had started the car a few times again. I got home it seemed to be ok. I parked the car for the night and went to start it this morn. I had the block heater cord plugged in, and It turns over no problem, but I get the same thing, i check all my fuel pump fuses and relays, and it seems to be all good. I ran the diagnostics codes on it and it is showing CODE 37
37* Torque Converter Clutch, No RPM Drop At Lockup Relationship between engine speed and vehicle speed indicates no torque converter clutch engagement (auto trans only)
37** Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuits; or Park/Neutral Switch Failure An open or shorted condition detected in the torque converter part throttle unlock solenoid control circuit (3 speed auto RH transmission only); or Incorrect input state detected for the Park/Neutral switch (auto trans only)
Any Ideas
will it keep running if you are putting fuel in the air cleaner area ?
Do you know how to cycle key & retrieve trouble codes?
