My truck was has a trailer hook up but i have not used it. bought the truck used so the previous owner might have hauled trailers. also, the truck belonged to a volunteer fireman and the black box under the dashboard (he had installed) is still hooked up. it has two switches to operate flashing lights (headlights and tail lights on separate switches). i do not use them.

I would suspect the turn signal switch.
Voltage for the brake lights go thru the turn signal switch before getting to the rear lights.

SOURCE: LEFT TRAILER TURN SIGNAL DOES NOT WORK

I'd get a 12vdc test light if you don't have one already & start from plug, and keep probing back from there. It may be as simple as a bad connection under truck where joined into harness.

SOURCE: LEFT TRAILER TURN SIGNAL DOES NOT WORK

I have seen once before that the fuse box was bad on a 2003 Dodge 3500. I had power in and nothing out. We had to replace the box. Not cheap! Hope it is simple like a loose connection though. I think I had to pull the inner fender on the drivers side to access the bottom of the fuse box. Pain in the ****, but...

2002 dodge durango left turn signal works right turn signal does not

have you checked the bulbs front and back. to see if they work, bulb check. then it sounds like you might have a bad signal flasher that only works the left side and not the right side. or if a bulb at the front or the rear gets bright but not the opposite bulb on the same side then you may just have a bad bulb or socket or power to the socket when doing the bulb check.

Dodge ram 1500 2007 turn signal malfuction

Good job, and good joe to you for solvin it! Now you'll remember that's a common indicator of a burnt out bulb. For some reason I can't explain, that is how a bad bulb acts on the flasher unit - by more rapid clicking (breaking contact inside the flasher relay at a quicker rate). It seems both the front and rear signal lights have to be working for the normal flasher rate ...well good.

1995 Dodge Dakota signal light and brake lights quit

I had the same problem that the brake light / turn signal on the right side didn't work (in the 2006 Dodge Caravan it's the same bulb). After a long search I found the problem: There was corrosion on the contact of the bulb assembly. After scraping off the corrosion everything works now.
