I have a 1987 mercedes 300e and the door locks does'nt work .the vacum pump doesn't have power and all the fuse are fine.can you help me with this matter.
Hello, Mercedes fuses will sometimes fool you. You need to take a pick or very small screw driver and physically touch the wire on the fuse to see if it has a small split in it. I have had many occasions where the fuse looked good and even metered good but when an amp draw came along it would open.
I hope this helps.

I believe the door locks are controlled entirely by vacuum on this car, like wise the vacuum pump is controlled by the engine (so there's nothing electric here). It could be a bad vacuum pump but I also suspect the issue is one of the door lock "motors" (just a diaphragm - not electric) is leaking.
These can be deceiving as if you lock the leaking door you squish the diaphragm and it may stop leaking and things appear to work.
Another symptom is the engine does not shut off when you turn off the key. This is also controlled by vacuum.
