Air Fuel Sensor on a 2001 Toyota tacoma

The wiring diagram sbows only two, even for the six cylinder engine. It must be an in-line engine. Sensor 1 is for air-fuel ratio feedback. Sensor 2 is for verifying the converter is working.

Are you talking about the oxygen sensors??? What is the actual trouble code when you scan the car's computer??? That will help in replacing the correct oxygen sensor.

It's always the first sensor from engine on exhaust manifold, if you have a V6 you will have two fuel ratio sensors on each exhaust manifolds

O2 SENSORS LOCATION.YOU HAVE 2 # O2 SENSORS.YOU HAVE ONE THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD.THE OTHER SENSOR LOCATED DOWN AT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. YOU SHOULD ALSO REPLACE THE O2 SENSORS TO HAVE THE BEST READINGS FOR AIR MIX.

That indicates that the HO2S( heated oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold bank 1) is faulty --possible wiring problem or sensor failure

Air/Fuel meter sensor is located and attached to the air filter box and the air intake hose. Its black and shaped like a pipe with an electrical harness attached to it. (located front passenger side of the engine).

That code is for your Air/Fuel Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank
1 Sensor 1). Basically that circuit is either getting to much current or not enough. That can be cause by a couple things i can think of off the top my head like open or short in that circuit, or a faulty Engine control Module (ECM), Or Possibly your A/F sensor heater could be faulty. Without looking at the data and testing your truck its hard to be exact but i hope this helps.

The air-fuel sensor is located BELOW the manifold, on the side of the head pipe. You would need to be under the vehicle to see it.
That sensor is commonly called "bank one/sensor one".
