Intermittently, when the key is turned to the on position it will hesitate before the dash comes on. While the car is running it will sometimes shut off and then just come back on, the airbag light will come on. It is becoming harder to start. Have already replaced the starter and harness.
I'd have to check ignition switch, voltage to and from. I'm thinking ignition switch only because of the dash issue.

It appears sir that you are going to need a new alternator once you install a new alternator you will not have that hesitation any longer also check your fuel filter and fuel pump make sure you getting adequate fuel to your motor
I had the same problem 2 times the first was a bad Camshaft sensor the second was a cranksensor

same just happend 2 me,was told it was the neutral safety switch -but didnt start in neutral-took 2 shop 400 later it was the ignition switch runs great again hope i helped

Replace the Ignition Switch, the electric part, not the lock cylinder.

if the key is getting stuck its the Brake Shift Interlock Solenoid its just under the ignition switch you have a short in it you can unplug it or replace it what its doing is over heating the solenoid and at times it can drain your battry.and for the trans acting up you could have a short to one of your solenoids or it could be the trans filter.

Check to make sure the ground lead-off wire to the fenderwell has not come loose or corroded. Also make sure you have a good engine to fierwall ground, this is the flat braided uncoated piece of connector running from the firewall usually to an intake manifold bolt. Thanks, Dana.
