SOURCE: have 1989 CADILLAC DEVILLE ,WAS RUNNING FINE BUT
the fuel pump is inside the tank. did the distributor cap get wet when you were installing the thermostat? check to see if the wires are pluged into the distributor cap well. if you use a fuel pressure gage you will be able to determine if the fuel pump is working.

Hello, The fuel pump is inside the gas tank. Remove the exhaust, Disconnect and remove all hoses and lines, also disconnect all electrical wires, remove 4 bolts from straps holding tank. Drop tank down. Remove lines and hoses from top of fuel pump module, remove lock ring, pull fuel pump module, turn unit as necessary so you don't destroy the fuel level sender. Hope this helps
Testimonial: "Job was completed in about two hours. Did not have to remove exhaust. Thank you. Also remember to buy new strainer on pump to keep warranty valid."
