The car is running rough. Check engine light is on and car won't drive any faster than 25 mph.
As far as the cobalt, check tac/throttle actuator control. Below is circuit description for p1682.
The other codes was for knock sensor.
I done replaced everything the service engine light said I needed for my 2010 chevy cobalt and it still saying engine power reduced. I'm about to get rid of it. Tired of being on side the road heading to work.
Car won't start and the light on the dash is saying engine power reduced what to do

look under your hood and try changing your pcm/ecm fuse.. may be bad and this will cause this failure.
SOURCE: why does reduce engine power light comes on chevy
That is a hard problem to pin point without knowing what codes the computer has stored. It can be any number or sensors or engine problems.
You can go to most auto parts stores and they will pull the codes for you for free.

disconecting the battery should reset the pcm. but you will need to find out what caused the problems.

Hi Rosalee_IM,
The codes your vehicle is storing are for low voltage from your accelerator pedal position sensor and a gross evaporative emission leak. The code P2122 and P2138 are directing you to test the accelerator pedal position circuit and/ or sensor. This is the cause of the reduced power concern you are feeling. The P0455 is telling you there is a large leak in the evaporative emission system. The most common cause for this code is a loose or incorrectly installed gas cap.I hope this helps clarify the concerns you are experiencing. If you'd like more information on how to trouble shoot the problems, drop me a line. Please include the model Impala you have,(LS,LT or LTZ) and the engine size. I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks, Chuck
