1995 saab 900 convertible turn signals and brake lights not working

The rear brake lights and no turn signal lights and no back running light do not function anymore. Replaced bulbs and fuses. I got a new battery but the turn signal and brake lights do not work. I replaced the brake light switfch which made the light situation worse. I have rear license plates do work.

With the age of the car it could be that your grounds are bad somewhere which explains why essentially no lights work ... even though the bulbs/fuses are OK. You get power to these lights by having positive wires going to the light bulbs and the negative side of the circuit coming from the frame of the vehicle (referred to as the ground).
Pull all the connectors that you can see and make sure they are not corroded.
Check also that no associated relay that has anything to do with the rear lighting is not bad.

The brake light circuit going to each side brake light travels trough the turn signal switch and the third brake light does not go through the turn signal switch - so the problem is probably right there at the turn signal switch. Check to see if a circuit at the signal switch is hot only when the brakes are pressed and if there is only one hot wire when the brakes are pressed the turn signal switch is bad. There should be two wires that are hot ONLY when the brakes are pressed going to the turn signal switch (with the turn signal switch in the OFF position).

Saab 900 convertible 1997, brake light failiure displays, brakes are ok.

Indicator suggests that one of your brake lights in the back is out or failing. With car running have someone step on the brake pedal on/off while you stand at the back of the car watching brake lights.

95' Buick regal, 3rd brake light works, tail lights work, turn signals work, stoplight switch seems to work ie 3rd brake light working, fuse is ok, changed bulbs, but no rear brake lights.

If the third brake light works and the regular ones don't, it is most likely a bad turn signal (multifunction) switch. The switch is able to kill the brakes lights to run the turn signals, and in rare circumstances does this. I've seen it several times. It could also be wiring, especially near the turn signal switch, but it is usually the switch.

Wife has got a saab 900 convertible M reg 1995 I think every time she press the brake peddle the head lights come on and when depressed they go out any form of help would be good

It sounds like you've got an earth problem or a relay problem. It might be easier to take the car to a dearlership and have them run diagnostics

1998 Lincoln Town Car: No turn signals, 4 way flash, brake lights

If only your brake light in middle of rear window works then your other bulbs are bad. If brake lights all work in the back than bulbs are good. If you put turn signal on right or left and the bulbs light in front and back then you need to change multifunction light control box under dash. My understanding is it cost $600 new. So I would try used.

Either the ground wire is not working or disconnected or the wiring is short.
