Need to check the fuses, wires may be repaired but thats what the fuses are for is to protect the rest, this should be listed in the owners manual

Check your window fuses. If they are good then you have a loose connection inside the door.

SOURCE: I need wiring diagram for a 1999 Ford f250 side

make your self a jumper set of wires to test with. Find out what makes what move on the old unit, write down the color wire, then apply power and ground to the new unit onw wire at a time.Mark down the color and what function it did.after testing both units then match your research and put the wires together.I wished I were there.Good Luck!

The fuse box is located below the steering wheel under the dash, inside the fuse box it will tell you which fuse goes to what item.

Power windows, dome lights, sunroof don't work in 05 mercury montego(passenger side mirror started to smoke when I released the trunk from key fob engine off)

Your fuse most likely popped. The smoke in your mirror is probably a short. The wires to the mirrors light are very thin. They do tend to break and cause a short. Check the wires before replacing the fuse, it may cause a fire.

My side rear view mirrors stop work

That's the beauty of electronics. Eventually they go bad. Of course I am kidding when I say that's the beauty of it but anyway. Both problems that your are having could be cause by several things whether is be electrical or hardware based. Your side mirror adjustment could've stopped working due to the switch going out, the motor going bad, or maybe a wire shorting out or possibly even a fuse blowing (although I doubt it's the fuse because several other things would likely also stop working). The rear view mirror problem could also be cause be such electrical problems although I would probably bet that the LEDs just finally burned out and in that case you would have to buy a new rear view mirror. Diagnosing such problems over the internet is nearly impossible and your best bet is to take it to a good mechanic

Dome light won't turn off

Check to make sure headlight switch is not turned to keep dome light on. If not depending on what you did to repair mirror the switch in the drivers door may be the culprit.

No dome light on tacoma

The dome light gets 12 volt battery power at all times. The door switch, when the door is opened, allows the current to flow to ground, and completes the circuit. The door switch allows the ground to be made. Measure for 12 volts at the wiring connector, and measure for direct short at the ground wire, with the door open. The Ground wire is white with a black tracer.
