Question about 1994 Toyota Camry

1994 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder Starting problems

Problem hit yesterday. Turn key. Click. Turn key, starts. Happened three more times.
Today - this morning. Turned key. Click. Had to turn key 8 times before it started. Went to autozone - had battery, alternater, starter checked. Results: Battery good. Alternater good. Starter - bad.
When I asked how the starter was determined bad - the response was could not perform test on it cuz it wouldn't start. I had turned key. Click, however second time I turn key, it started.
Was told my starter is going out - give it a week, it'll be out for good.

Apreciate any thoughts on this.

2005 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder intermittently won't start

try starting the car and while running disconnect the negative battery cable,if the car still runs turn on the head lights,if the car dies the alternator is weak. I think its weak and can charge the battery as long as the lights are off,but cant keep up when theyare on. so if drive most of the time in the day time you are ok as long as you dont have to start the car too many times. when you drive with the lights on and the engine slows to an idle like when you park the car dies. make sense?

Cold engine cranks when bumpping the starter once. After engine is wram you have to bump starter three time to crank. 1997 jeep wrangler 4.0 engine. What is the problem. Thanks

Its a hot start issue.

Can be related to low fuel pressure or problem with crank sensor.

Also it can be weak battery or starter.

But possibilities are to be inspected to confirm what exactly it is.------

1994 camry 4 cylinder replace fuel filter,air filter hard starting sometimes when its hot, an sluggish acceleration on stops.But idle is normal.

it is possible that the injectors are partially blocked & need cleaning......cheers.

you need to replace the starter contacts, you will need to remove the starter and in the starter there are "contacts" that wear out over time and will need to be replaced im sure if you google it there will be better repair tips on this

1990 toyota camry won't start

Usually if you hear the starter solenoid click but the starter doesn't crank, its the starter. And since it was after a trip that is usually when starters are bad when they get hot.

Your starter is bad.... the two contacts inside the solinoid are worn out only way to fix is replace the unit as a whole bet ya you get click click click then my start.. bet my life on this one been fixin toyotas for 20+ years
