Replace the day time running light module. Early years are a separate module. Usually they are on the driver side under the dash. These can be bypassed..Find an electricial that works on cars.
does this vehicle have headlight dimmer swith on the floor.if so make sure that it has a good dround

The sensor is either in the dash near the windshield at center or integrated into the inside review mirror. 1st check these fuses - Fuse 33 (15A), 23 (15A). on the fuse box in the vehicle.
