There are two kinds of backfires, one is produced from the engine air intake and the other is produced from the tail pipe of the exhaust system. The cause for a backfire condition can vary depending on the malfunction of a particular system. Some backfires can be extreme enough to cause damage to related components. Anytime a backfire is observed immediately diagnose and repair as needed. If the engine is running rough it can produce a backfire. A backfire occurs when there is an imbalance in the air to fuel ratio required for your vehicle to operate properly. If the fuel mixture is too lean (not enough fuel) you may have a backfire in the intake manifold gasket, or too rich (too much fuel) you may get a backfire out of the exhaust system. It is important to observe the location of the backfire.

Auto zone say my 2003 e250 ford alternator is ,good but it kills the battery

Even the people you said that the alternator is good and you still loosing battery, why don't you ask them to do a power leak test,`like any circuit on radio, lights body contacts leak. Probably you might have somewhere something killing your battery. If what I said is already done, just do a final test by changing the alternator and see the outcome.

TEE fiting that join hoses on smog pump keeps melting every few miles, Already have changed smog pump with new one from dealer, and problem came right back. I was told then that problem was electrical...

With melting parts that could be an issue with the diverter valve, but the electrical issue adds a new complication to the deal. I'll have to admit, my experience with SMOG systems is limited. I don't know exactly how that shop did your electrical test, but unless they did a live test where they measured how much current draw you had during operation of the pump, I don't know how they could draw any conclusions as to if the pump is good or bad. The electrical solenoid as I understand it, is not part of the pump and is there to divert the air to the proper location and then closing during deceleration to prevent backfire. I would think since you are having issues with the fuse and melting hoses, that your diverter valve/solenoid is the issue. If none of this information is useful to you, I certainly wouldn't hold it against you to ask for a refund for this service and seek help from another member. If the information is useful, I am glad, and ask that you don't forget to rate.

I have to replace my signal flasher on my 1995 cadillac deville but don't know where its located, can you tel me

Up under the dash, probably clipped to the steering column mount brackets or close by. If you already have the new one, the old one looks similar or just like it.
