My 2000 ford focus was driving then lost power and died, I just put in a new starter motor last week. So the engine turns over but I think that it dosen't ignite, and i am pretty sure that I can hear the fuel pump whine a little as it tries to pump fuel in. I think it is the fuel filter that is plugged and don't know how to replace it. Can someone give assistance? Do I have to take off the gas tank to get to it?
My engine is a small 4 cylinder, gasoline, single overhead cam, fuel injection engine.
are we talking about petrol filter ? or diesel filter? as you do not mention type of engine ?
