This happens usually only once after starting in the morning and mostly at the same junction when lifting foot off the accelerator approaching the crossroads.Although the travel to this point has been through several left and right turns (de-accelerations) it dies at this particular intersection. After this, its fine for the rest of the day and doesn't occur until the next day, again after cold starting. Some days it doesn't do it at all, although its become more frequent. Just had a major service ( cambelt change ) but still does it. Its weird as if the stoppage is timed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

perhaps you need a new cap and roter a new spark plug wire set. they don;t like moisture. also check to see if you have any broken or leaking vacuum hoses. the worse case senerio would be that your head gasket is leaking--at cold temps a little antifreeze will enter until everything warms up and it seals shut due to metal expanding. but since you say it's cold weather only--this probably wou;dn't be the case. good luck.

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 1999 T6. It usually happened after a 2 hr run. Usually it would not go higher than 1000rpm until it cleared itself or I switched off and strated again. A dealer put a computer diagnostic on an recommended a mixture sensor to be replaced. Before I got to book that in I tried switching to only 98 Octane Fuel and I haven't had a problem since.
