The oil pressure sending unit could be bad. If your oil pressure gets below 7psi than it shuts off all power going to the fuel pump. It is screwed into the engine block just to the right of the distributor.

Hi there Kyle, I am having the same issue. but i have dotted T's and crossed eyes. Grounds are good. Fuse and Relay is good. On the fuel pump relay, direct power is hot, however switch side only flickers on and does not stay on for the full 2 seconds upon turning the key to the on position. which it only flickers every once in a while. which leads me to believe, being the ECM B fuse enrgizes the pump relay via ECM B - fuel pump switch/ oil pressure sensor - Relay, since the fuse and relay are fine, either the switch, or the wire(s) between the ECM B and the relay are bad. How do i locate the fuel pump switch?

SOURCE: 2000 Chevy blazer this is the 2nd brand new fuel pump

Spark......EQUIPMENT NEEDED: 1) fuel pressure Gage....Advanced Auto = $45..... 2) needle nose pliers ( fuse pull )..
There is a fuel pressure access valve located on the fuel injector rail. The access port or "shraider" valve has a black or gray screw on cap. Remove the cap and you will see the valve. CAUTION: The fuel rail is under pressure....before installing the pressure gauge, relieve pressure by starting the engine and removing the fuel pump fuse from the under hood fuse box......
Once the engine quits, turn the key to the off position and safely install the pressure gauge. Put a rag around or under the access valve to catch any drizzling fuel. I always prefer to do this when the engine is cool.
Install the pressure gauge, start the engine, check for leaks and read pressure output at idle, record pressure reading.
Also, it should be checked under load but you will need another person to help.
Once you have shut the vehicle off watch the pressure gauge, it should remain steady and not leak down.
Let me know what the readings are.
Regards,

SOURCE: HELP! HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE ! 2001 chevy blazer fuel problems

I would check to be on the safe side the fuel filter is going in the right direction. The arrow is pointing towards the engine away from the fuel tank, Then you need to make sure the fuel pump wiring connections are good contact and did not come loose when driving.

Check the crank sensor probably when you replaced the timing belt you could have either not put the crank signal ring in correctly or damaged the crank sensor.

SOURCE: I have a 2002 chevy blazer 4.3L that wont start

are you using the original key ?? sounds wear but in the key switch there is a sensor that detects if the right key is in use otherwise it will kill the power to the fuel pump or it can be a fuse look under the left rear passanger seat there is another set of fuses and the other set of fuses are on the driver side near the door and there is another set of fuses and relays inside the hook next to the battery

Need too replace fuel pump

.After checking supply power to fuse and relay is working, also check the ASD relay is clicking when you turn on the ignition switch to run.check to see if power is getting to your pump before replacing it.if all is in working condition then you Release the fuel pressure at the engine. Remove your back seat. Disconect your fuel lines and electrical connections. unbolt the screws in the cover. get some rags so if you spill, it wont stay in your car.do not use a light bulb drop light near this pump one drop of fuel and poff its all over. remove the unit and take it to a well ventilated area. carfully remove the pick up filter disconect wires making sure you knote + & - wire positions. disconnect hoses, replace pump. before you reinstall make sure the inside of your tank is cleaned of forien material.Wetvac works good just remove filter. then re asemble before youlock it down have some one turn the key to run to make sure it comes on and also check for leaks. HOPE THIS HELPS Joe

I replaced the battery, how do I reset the computer, its not getting fuel?

Thanks for choosing FixYa Michelle and welcome to the site. Anytime the battery is off, the computer resets automatically. Since you are not getting fuel to the engine, you need to make sure that the fuel pump is working. Check your fuel pump fuse and relay. Also, check the reset button if you have one. You should be able to hear the pump kick on when you first turn the key on. You should hear a buzzing sound for a second or two. If you don't, check the fuse/relay. Check the reset button if you have one. I am not sure if you do or not Michelle. They are usually in the glove box if you do. If you check all them and the pump still doesn't work, change it. Now, you need to check your fuel filter as well. It may be clogged. If not, check your gas lines. Make sure that none of them are damaged. If not, the only thing left to check is your fuel injectors. That is your complete fuel system there. Check the fuel pump, fuel filter, gas lines, and the fuel injectors. If you are not getting gas, it is one of them.

I HAVE A 1991 GMC SIERRA PICKUP THAT WON'T START. WE'VE ALREADY CHECKED THE IGNITION MODUAL AND HAVE REPLACED THE COIL,DRIED OUT THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP. IT HAS SPARK IT JUST KEEPS TURNING OVER WITHOUT FIREING...

If you are getting spark then it may be a fuel pump problem or fuel pump relay or inline fuse. Always start Fuel system troubleshooting by replacing the fuel filter or filters! You may be able to apply 12 volts from the battery (use a fused line) directly to the 12 volt side of the fuel pump and listen to see if the pump runs. Also may need to check that it is getting a good ground to the fuel pump. Then if the fuel pump does not run independently, replace the fuel pump. The fuel pump relay is computer controlled and several other things give the computer inputs which then controls the voltage to the fuel pump relay.
