I have Dodge Ram 3500 year 2003. My transmission went limp mode. Scanner told me some codes: P0700 Transmission Control System, P1765 Transmission 12v Supply Relay and P0743 Torque Connection Control Solenoid.. What can you tell me what is wrong with my truck?

Dave, The P0700 code is a generic fault code indicating the the TCM (transmission control module) has recognized a problem and the P0755 is the indicated problem. I'd recommend you check your transmission external electrical connector for water intrusion and corrosion at the terminals by disconnecting the connector. If nothing appears wrong, I'd then recommend you drop the lower transmission pan and take a look at the residue deposit that is laying on the bottom of the pan. You should only see a relativily minor amount of grayish, black clutch material residing there. Pay particular attention for a gross amount of this or any large particular material, including any metal, either filings or chunks, or any brass or aluminum. If this checks out to be fairly clean, then I'd recommend you replace that "B" solenoid (2-3 shift solenoid) and have the trans. pan and filter replaced.; I'd also highly recommend you have the trans flushed for anyother particular matter that may reside internally inside the transmission. You'll have to have the codes cleared and the transmission relearned for shift feel, at that point.

SOURCE: 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 computer codes

P0304, could be a bad plug, bad coil, bad injector, low compression, or other stuff. The P0700, you need to look at codes in the TCM. It is telling you that the trans computer has a fault in it.

P1521 - VRIS Solenoid 1 I have replaced the VRIS (Variable resonance idle solenoid 1).
P0750 - Shift Solenoid A malfunction
There is more than one solenoid in the valve body and to make sure he is replacing the right one. I will say that with an electrical malfunction code---it's usually the wiring or the solenoid----so not a real bad choice. Come to think of it I think there will be 4 solenoids---A,B,EPC and TCC. So he needs to find out which one is the bad one before he goes replacing.

Good luck

SOURCE: dodge ram 2500 transmission relay isn't working right

The relay has pin ID on it lets use that. CAV 30 is B+ which is 12 volts, Cavity 85 is transmission control relay. Cavity 86 is Generator source. Cavity 87 is transmission control relay output. Cavity 87A is not used. open that relay and exposed the relay control see if it engages on its own if not collapse it see if you get out of limp mode.

My car is stuck in limp in mode I have replaced speed sensor and I'm getting p 0700 it's a 02 stratus I was told if I have the codes reset that the car should shift correctly

Incorrect information the code is because of a system malfunction and that is what is causing the shift problem. Resetting the code does nothing. Your code is transmission control circuit malfunction.

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction OBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description Article by Dale Toalston ASE Certified Technician Transmission Control System TCS Malfunction What does that mean? Many vehicles have a control module for the automatic transmission called a transmission control module (TCM). The engine control module (ECM) communicates with the TCM to monitor the automatic transmission for faults. If the TCM detects a fault in the automatic transmission and sets a transmission related fault code, the ECM is informed of this also and sets a P0700 in the ECM memory. This illuminates the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) to let the driver know there is a problem. If this code is present and the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is illuminated that basically means there is at least one transmission code set in the TCM's memory. P0700 is an informational code only. It doesn't point to a direct fault in the engine, only a general fault in the transmission. More diagnosis is necessary to identify what the transmission fault is. This requires a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission module. Symptoms Symptoms of a P0700 DTC may include: Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination The transmission may exhibit drivability problems like slipping, etc. Causes More often then not, the cause of this code is that there is a transmission problem of some kind. The TCM detected the problem and set a code. P0700 means that a fault code is stored in the TCM. However this doesn't rule out the possibility of a failed PCM or TCM (unlikely). Possible Solutions For a P0700 the only real solution is to acquire a scan tool that will communicate with the transmission control module. Extracting this code from the TCM will be the first step in repairing the fault in the transmission. If the TCM compatible scan tool will not communicate with the Transmission Control Module then that is a good indication that there may be a fault with the TCM itself. PO456 is most times a gas cap or gasket,
to get an incorrect gear ratio the transmission has probably started to slip.

Change the fluid and filter first off in the transmission and use only atf+4 fluid and possibly the govenor pressure sensor, and change gas cap.

Transmission Control System Malfunction. It means you have a trans control problem in the trans computer.
You will need to get it on a trans capable scanner to see what the trans code or problem is. You should get it to either the dealer or a good transmission shop to the the trans capable scanner done to see the exact problem
