Ive had nothing but issues with this car since buying in May. it stalled once in August and wouldnt start randomly one day last month. i took it in to mazda and they had the balls to ask me why i didnt let the car warm up WHEN IT WOULDNT START PERIOD! they updated spark plugs and said they couldnt find anything wrong. Today i spent 1100 to get snow tires put on and had to drive home in the snow with them on and it stalled out twice on the way home and now will not start.

I have a 2004 that had the same problem. It sounds like the engine might be flooded. The best thing to do is to remove the fuse to the fuel pump. It will be listed under the fuse cover under the hood. Mine was a 20 amp but check to be sure. With the fuse removed, crank the engine for a minute to remove any fuel flooding the engine. Replace the fuse and crank the engine in 10 second intervals without touching the gas or you will reflood the engine. This process can sometimes take awhile and will drain your battery, so have it connected to an additional power source ( i.e. another car battery or jump box). When the car finally cranks over there will be a huge cloud of smoke so don't be alarmed when it happens. Lastly some words to the wise. This process CAN ruin your starter, but is essentially the same process that the dealership will you except that they will remove the spark plugs to drain the fuel and then charge you for new ones. If this process doesn't work then you probably need new spark plugs which is going to cost quite a bit. I was quoted upwards of $525 to fix this problem until I talked to a Mazda mechanic and found out how to do this myself. Just make sure that the engine is up to running temperature before turning the car off and you shouldn't encounter this problem again. I hope this helps you, and remember that if all else fails the dealer can fix it. It won't be cheap, but they will get it done.
I almost forgot, you HAVE to get the oil changed as soon as possible because there is probably gas in the oil now.

needs an engine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! call a dealer and see if it is covered
SOURCE: runs for 3-4 min then stalls, wont start until next day.
i would look at those items first by checking battery voltage at fuel pump if car stalls but pump is still getting voltage then i would pull fuel filter back out and check to see if installed correctly also blowing through filter to make sure its not clogged in rare occasions can be defective or if installed backwards if possible can colapse inside should have arrow pointing towards direction of engine if all is well check relay then crankshaft sensor
