The reduced power light is most likely responsible for the stabilitrack light to illuminate as it will shut it down as a safety feature. The reduced engine power light is normally set by a defective throttle control motor. In some cases, the sensor on the gas pedal can also cause this message to display, but, in my experience, the throttle control motor is most likely the problem.
Stabilitrack and Traction Control System And Antilock Brake System use the same input sensors except with electronic shocks depending on service trouble code. About 1.5 hour shop rate plus part sensors $150.00 and up Brake modules and computers $500.00 plus
It sounds like a sensor to me. Call your local auto-parts store to see if they can narrow it down. Most of them now days have a computer that will take you in the right direction.
could possibly be vacuum assist check valve is defective and you are feeling the engine vacuum pulsations. Easy ck, Inexpensive, easy replace. Good luck. If you will, let me know. please
Ask your dealer if he has reviewed any "service bullitens" that might be related to the issue. There could be a known issue that has been published by GM that will fix the problem. There could be a field software re-flash needed for the ABS controller or one of the other electronic modules. If he is unable to find such a bulletin or information, personally, I would insist a " Field Engineer" be brought in to review the issue and get it fixed.
Typically the Field Engineer has all the current information from the factory to help resolve the issue.
Good luck and let me know what transpires.
