2004 Chevy Silverado with dual zone climate control. Automatic 4.7 liter V8. Truck takes a bit longer than I m used to to heat up and will blow hot air from a ny knob position for awhile, then go to cold air. I dont think its AC, but its cold /cool air. May be a coincidence, but it seems that if its blowing cold, accelaration will bring the heat back up. Always goes to cold air at idle.
