The remote key works properly opening the doors but when i try to start the car, and though ignition turns, it makes a quick tapping sound and wont start. Also the alarm light operates even when car is unlocked and the alarms makes all kinds of noises when i lock the car.

Hi Arkrios, It sounds to me as if the anti theft program of the alarm system has kicked in. I believe you'll need to get the system recoded. Regards John

G8D711S is not alarm system. This is Daytime Running Light module. You can pull out the connector, your front lights won't work when an engine start.

My GV 2002 has a Autostart AS1203 alarm system. There is a description on Internet.

Unfortunately, the keyless entry remotes and OE systems usually require a dealership to service them. Sounds to me like they need to re-set the alarm

SOURCE: suzuki swift broken electronic door lock

No there is not many problems with this car at all. In fact it has very good ratings. This car may just have a bad electrical connection to the lock mechanism behind the door panel. You can push down drivers lock and then hit all door lock button and it should work no problem. You then can use remote to unlock all doors.

Suzuki swift remote key battery is dead, how do i start the car with the key ?

this is USA forum is car in USA/.
we cant guess where. and matters.
i guess you didnt lose the key and fob.?
and never tried sitting in car and starting it the NORMAL
way. that be first.
to remote start any factory car fitting out with this bs.
one must have what>?
1: starts the normal way. logical no?
2: for remote to work a good remote battery. (make the transmitter work and buttons on fob)
3: the car must not be in ALARM for any reasons.
there is a huge list of reasons, like, door ajar. and a large list.
if you scan the PCM in the car it tells you all this. OBD2 scans.
that is to protect you from injuring others.
It must be safe to remote start or it will not.

Car running

hacked wiring. ?
or bad ignition switch. or main relay.?

when you turn the key to off, the PCM loses 12vdc power.
the main relay is hot all the time.
if it sticks , that is a big problem.
the ECU watches the key switch at pin c33 ignition feed pin
and desides whether to energize the main or not.
if the dash guages drop fast at key off, that proves the key switch is working right. same is true of CEL lamp goes out, key off.
does this car have remote start? option or add on?

the Main relays most drop out, key off, if not work from there.
alldata.com has the schematic ,

Remote key does not open /close door lock

Hi.
It seems that the remote key need a battery change. replace the batteri inside the remote key.

If this is not curing the problem you might be in the situation where the transmitter (remote key) or the receiver (car) is defect.
In this case you need help from Suzuki.

Good luck
