Motor mount the engine mount has broken something like a sensor

Be sure to check all vacuum hoses then use throttle body cleaner with the engine running spray around upper body hoses and intake gaskets when sounds different there's your leak

It is fairly easy to do if you have a lift, but it is possible to do on the ground with a jack and jack stands. With the park brake on, start the engine with the hood open so you can see it through the windshield. Put it in reverse and give it some gas, if the engine moves up, you have a broken mount. Do the same in drive. If the motor moves up then the mount on the side of the engine that moved up is broken. If these tests don't show a broken mount then your grinding noise is coming from elsewhere.

start the car and with the brakes applied put trans in forward gear and push on the throttle and if the engine raises the mount on the side the engine raises is the side the mount is broken. then put it in reverse and do the same thing if the engine raises then that mount is broken.

It's most likely a short in the wiring somewhere. When the transmission is put in reverse, it'll cause the engine to shift, which could cause strain on the wiring harness and cause the field wire to the alternator to lose connection.

The easiest way to check for broken engine mount is to put one foot on the brake and push the throttle to watch the engine move. the mounts are located on the bottom of the engine
about where the transmission and engine are bolted together. Make sure that you test in foward and reverse,because they might both be broken. `Engine oil leaks on the rubber mounts and softens the rubber on the mounts makes the go bad . Also hard acceleration is hard on the mounts

Not usually. when a mount is bad, you can FELL the car **** when accell of a stop or changing from Drive to reverse. To check it, put on your parking brake, now hold the brake pedal with your left foot, now put the car in reverse, and press the gas slightly, the engine will move slightly, now put it in drive, the engine should shift slightly, if it moves a LOT like a few inches or moves upward, you may have a mount bad and it needs to be inspected.

Possible broken motor mount. A broken motor mount can do that. To check to see if one is broken ,open hood ,start engine,press foot on brake hard,put in gear and give it some throttle.If the engine moves a lot then u have a broken motor mount.

you should retrieve the codes and see if you have a code for the throttle position sensor. sounds like you could have a loose or broken motor mount. that would be something you should be able to find with a visual inspection. hope that helps

Broken or worn out engine mounts will cause allot of engine vibration in drive at idle, reverse also, change all 4 the mounts, not just the 2 broken ones. As far as slow acceleration no mounts will not cause that, Have you reached the 100,000 mile recommended tune up? have you ever replaced the fuel filter, this is required every 30,000, let me know.
