wiring diagram 1995 gmc sierra electric windows I found several systems offering what you require.
But what is the problem, 99% of the time in that year the window regulator was at fault, it was made from a stapped steel housing verses an cast unit. We check the left switch for power, disconnect the two wire connector at the motor, and see if the motor has power to one side or the other in the connector. If the switch has power to it, and the motor has power to it as you press the button, the motor is at fault.

Trans shouldn't make it backfire,are you sure the dist. cap didn't hit the firewall when the trans came out and get damaged?

If your transmission is automatic, it probably has a vacuum controlled modulator located on the passenger side near the front of the transmission. It is a round component witha vacuum nipple on it's end and connects to a manifold vacuum source.

valve bodies..typical of chevy...but also check for a wiring issue..with a volt meter check for power at the plug on the tranny

i gather its an auto transmission ,which mean your loosing oil pressure from the convertor inside the tranny housing.
