My 1998 chevy tahoe with 5.7 Liter, 4X4 Automatic is hard to start when the motor is cold, runs good & starts ok when it is warmed up. Acts like it may be flooded. I've replaced the fuel pressure regulator & fuel filter. The fuel pump has been replaced about 16 months ago (twice). There isn't any fuel pressure in the lines after it sits for a short time, where is the fuel pressure draining to? Thought it might be the check vavle in the fuel pump, or the seals in the fuel injection module.
Hello, yes the check valve is in the fuel pump assembly. The check valve is leaking and the pump will burn out soon. Unfortunately the aftermarket fuel pumps can be very unreliable. A good portion of problems we see on this site are from people who replace the pump sometimes twice and it still doesn't work.

I needed an option to whether it was the fuel pump or the fuel injectors leaking down. also when I replaced the fuel pressure regulator, I'm not positive I reinstalled the fuel line and the return line o-rings and spacers correctly into the injector module. I can not find any diagrams showing the order that they go in. can you help?
