04 tahoe Z-71 5.3L Z-motor auto transmission approx. 79,000 miles. It started with diagnostics showing fuel pump faulty (replaced worked fine for a month) then check engine light came on again this time showed 2 of the O-2 sensors bad both replaced and ran fine when mechanic performed drive test. When I left and was driving back home the hesitation isn't as bad but can tell now sinces it's not sputtering and no response when excelerater pressed that the transmission has a delay shifting gears. fluid levels verified all show good. Approx. 5,000 miles ago had injectors cleaned and transmission fluids and filter changed. The mechanic (pep boys) seem to think it may be a "shift sensor" (unable to find such a sensor in any manual or on-line) could it be called something else or could it be something else all together?

what do you mean has a delay in shifting? how long of a delay? is it slipping slowly into gear, or just not shifting for a few seconds then going in normally
