We just went through this with our 2003 Rendevous. Clicking like crazy but wouldn't start. Replaced the starter but still doing the same thing. Our next step was going to be replace the battery (which tested well) and the ignition assembly. Out of frustration, I hit the top of the hood and the headlights came on!! Further investigaton proved that the problem was a corroded ground wire on the battery. Hope this helps
I have the same car around the same mileage, and mine have done that a couple of times. I've also noticed that it's real touchy when switching the brights on and off (sometimes only flashes bright and goes back to normal beams without "catching", and I have to do it again to turn them on). Possibly something in the wiring of that turn signal that's going out?
The suspension relay is behind the right headlight. Check for corrosion first. This is common with this relay. Sometimes cleaning off some corrosion and a few taps on the back will make it work again. Use some dielectric grease when installing the relay. You won't have corrosion issues anymore.
This happens whether the truck is turned on or not
