No start cranks over but no start security light not on when cranking
I have a 03 olds alero in my shop,and no codes. I changed the crank position sensor and that helped for some time. I am looking a the cam position sensor and the ignition control moduler
i have an 02 alero, no codes, intermittant crank no start with a faster crank when it wont start, i too replaced the crank position sensor and it was fine for about 6 months. Now its not starting again. Did replacing cam position sensor and ignition control module work? I am loathe to put more money into this lemon of a car!

I have a 2002 alero with the v-6 that had the same problem. I replaced the crank position sensor and fixed the no start problem.

try locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key. [sometimes if you reach to un lock door through window it it sets off security]

from what i have read, it is design to cut the gas supply so no one can still your car. Mine car wouldn't crank at all with the light blinking. turn the key to the on position and wait 10 minutes. turn it off and try to crank it. it has worked every time on mine. I have also read to cut the LITTLE yellow wire that runs from ignition,but i don't feel comfortable cutting wires even though you can always reattch the wire.

there is a clip that hold in the handle.you need to pop it out with a 90 degree pick tool
