Whenever
this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating
that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of
lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected
a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM,
SRS, TPMS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You
must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool
and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for
the problem(s) Legend
of Abbreviations. ABS Anti-lock brake system. TCS Traction control
system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint
system, BCM Body control module. TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor System

First things first. Do you have a volt meter to check the battery voltage? What engine do you have?
Let me know.

My fans that cool the engine do not come on at all. The temperature climbs when I sit still. When I drive, the car seems to cool down. What do I need to do.

If the air pump is working then it's going to be the one way check valve at the manifold. It's common for the check valves to go bad before the air pump, check the pipe from the pipe to the manifold too.
Before you get that far i believe there was a TSB and the warranty is 5 years to the emission system on vehicles. Looks like your close to the end of your 5 year so step on it to the dealer while you can still get a deal on this repair.
Good luck and hope this helps.

there are a couple of things, first make sure there are not restriction in the exhaust, i know the dealer has had to replace converters under warranty because of this problem, then theres a reflesh program for the computer due to this problem, and lastly, run with egr off make sure it clean of carbon, carbon gets stuck in pintle sets check eng lightbut carbon then blows by so when you remove egr you see nothing, well start with these good luck.
