Chevy Tahoe 2004 Anti Theft Device has been activated.

Drove car to and from store. Went back to try and start the car after an hour and the anti-theft light on the control panel is on. Car ignition does not turn on. Nothing happens when you turn the ignition key.

on my 2010 malibu I have to pair my cell phone with the bluetooth every time I turn the ignition off. I ask for a list and it tells me there are no bluetooth devices stored, but when I name the device the same as it was named the last time it says that sounds to much like the the last name. What would make me have to pair the same phone every time I get in the car?

after installing new battery, won't turn over. lights come on normally. fuses & connections good. does nothing when key turned to start. no sounds. COuld it be anti-theft device. if so, how do you reset it if you don't have the proper computer diag. equipment?

I have a 2004 Chevy Impala and for some reason I keep having to jump it, the battery and Alternator plus the starter. It checks out good so I was wondering what it could be?

Question edited for a bit of clarity.

You are being given some really bad information.

If the anti-theft was active it wouldn't start.

You don't jump the Alternator, it is a generating device.

You don't jump the starter, you jump the battery.

It sounds like you have Parasitic Draw.

I inherited a 2004 mercury marquis and after anti theft was triggered, car won't go over 40 and overdrive light blinks

If the vehicle starts an drives, even at 40 to 50 miles per hour the anti-theft system has nothing to do with this. The PATS anti-theft system on that vehicle disables the starter from working to deterrer vehicle theft, that's it.

overdrive light blinks ?? you have a transmission problem with the electronics .With over drive light blinking codes are stored in the computer . Need to hook up a professional grade scan tool an check for codes . Your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop that knows what it's doing.

How to start a 2004 Chevy Tahoe without key?

You have been watching too many 1960s movies, pull out a couple of wires, spark them together and off you drive. Your vehicle has an anti theft system to stop that. Your local dealership will cut you a key based on the VIN Number.

There are videos here, but I would not recommend it.

You can copy the key, but without a matching programmed anti-theft key fob, it won't work.

1996 Saturn sl1 was starting on a dime and now wont start

Hi Jennifer, I believe that it purely coincidence that this problem started when your dad drove the car. There is basically nothing he could have done to promote the problem. I believe the fault has something to do with the anti theft device becoming active. If you can manage to have the car diagnostically scanned and the key encodement re activated I'm thinking that will sort out the problem. Even if that is not the problem the diagnostic scan will pin point where the problem is. Regards John

P0300 2004 chevy malibu

Hi Raloo, Seems to me you could have a problem with the anti theft device. If you have a problem with the injection side of the vehicle, which is what it sounds like make sure the anti theft has not become active. Regards John
