Dashboard shows a yellow light i asked about it from a mechanic he said u hav to change brake leathers

ask your mechanic this. were the rotors changed? use quality pads?

Assuming the brake itself is releasing There is a micro switch under the mechanism which is likely jammed or has failed. The rubber boot / leather gaiter which covers this if peeled back will likely show the wiring as a pair of cables running to the switch, move the lever arm and see if the light goes out otherwise you might need a new one..

That is a warning light. Take it in to a mechanic for a checkup.

Ask a local american mechanic but i do not think they have a relay on the brakes ,never seen one on any vehicle up to now unless its a commercial vehicle with a trailor ,have you checked for power to the switch for the stop light as american motors have a funny system that uses the brake light as a indicator with a internal switching mechanism inside the stop light switch.Not allowed in europe it must have a seperate yellow indicator light

Have you noticed any difference in you're braking? If not, then you should be okay. If it'll ease your mind, get the faulty ABS sensor replaced, and, assuming the mechanics correct, your light(s) will disappear, and you should be fine! (:

probably you have either fitted the wrong bulb, accidently fitted the bulb wrong or shorted out the wiring or holder, look in your handbook for fuse location and double check your hatch bulb.

You may have serious issues with your brake system, such as the master cylinder! Be sure to have your care looked at by a mechanic to make sure you are safe. The brake light is not just a reminder of your parking brake, but a sort of warning system (ones that I refer to as dummy lights) to let you know there is a problem or malfunction. Be safe & get it looked into ASAP!

Anti-lock brakes malfunction, msut be checked by an experienced mechanic. Possibel ABS actuator or speed sensor malf or damage!! Hopefully this helps

by the way its explained it sounds like a brake fluid light, all the bmw's and mercedes have lights like that so id have your brakes looked at. hopefully this helps
