The tray will not shift into overdrive, suspect The Torque converter lock up sensor.
There is no part called the lockup sensor, the lock up occurs when the Vehicle speed sensor sends a signal to the Transmission control module that the truck has reached the minimum speed and throttle angle for lock up to take place, it then activates a switch inside the transmission that locks up the torque converter clutch.

I think it can and I remember problems with the PCM in the transmission controls had recalls. First check your fluid levels and see if it is low. You may get lucky to just add fluid. You may be better off running your VIN# to see if there were recalls on your car at the dealer. Best of Luck.

Either the speed sensor, TCC solenoid , ECU or a stuck check ball in a lockup plate. I recommend taking this to a transmission shop this could get fustrating.

You have to be very careful with input shaft rings. They like to eat into the pump stater. Also always buy new vb don't buy rebuilt because they only work 2 out of 5 times. I know this for experience
