Sounds like the signal switch relay fuse. turn your signal on and check your fuse boxes... inside the car and under the hood. it will look like a little square box inside your fuse box next to your other fuses. with your signal on, you should be able to locate the relay because it will be making a clicking noise. pull it straight out and go get another one. hope this helps.
If flasher blinking make sure your hazard emergency is on by accident.if not the turn signal combination switch faulty.

If new bulbs don't work, it is probably the harness that holds the bulb. I had to replace both on my car after fighting with the problem for over a year and not knowing.

You need to check your left side turn/park lamp bulbs for correct part # & installation. If that checks out you deffinetely have a ground problem. When you have other lights blinking with you turn signals you have either a bulb incorrect or a bad/poor ground. If bulbs check out check your forward lamp harness ground.Hope this helps

Usually replacing the flasher will fix this. Normally you can buy this at Autozone, but being a Beemer you might call around before you waste your gas.

I had this problem, and to be honest, it happened to the left side about a week later...it's the board that the bulbs plug into...it's a very common problem with this model. So popular that you can normally get the socket board off the shelf at a parts store! it's extremely simple to replace, and I replaced all the bulbs at the same time!
