2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi Quad won't start in morning

My 2004 Ram has a hard time starting in the cold mornings. It seems
to be flooded so I hold the gas pedal to the floor when I turn key and then it will start. Once it starts and is warm it runs great. It almost
seems as if the fuel keeps filling motor when I shut it down for the day.
Does anyone know why I keep having these issues ??

Could be that the electronic throttle could be icing up. just remove the air cleaner and have someone cycle the key. the throttlebody will cycle prior to starting to do a self check. chrysler has a tsb out for this concern. tsb # 14-002-05

Gauge lights

ABS and Brake warning lights intermittent may be caused by a failing wheel speed sensor(ABS Sensor) and /or its connector. You may have one on each wheel hub(4WD) or if 2WD, a sensor may be on the rear axle differential center.

Codes truck not starting

Where did these codes come from? They are not pcm codes. PCM codes start with P and are followed by 4 digits. Most auto parts stores will read these for little or no charge.

Check the following:- Map sensor, Air flow sensor if fitted instead of map sensor and the engine coolant temp. sensor. When did you last replace the air filter?

Ticking noises only when you start then goes away

Depended on the mileage and if the truck has been worked hard. It could be a few things, A worn out hydraulic lifter, a worn crank bearing, old engine oil that needs to be changed, or maybe a tired oil pump. Try using a stethoscope to narrow down where the ticking noise is loudest. From there you will have a better idea what the cause is. Take a look at the oil pressure, see if it takes to long in the morning for the oil pressure to start building. Every time you look at something different it will help bring you that much closer to the solution.

on my 2004 ram 2500, I had to depress the trip odometer button and turn on the Ignition. all lights on instrument panel will illuminate, continue to hold button in and tach/speedomenter will run full up and back down. once this has completed, the obd codes will be shown in the odometer.

Good Luck
