We have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe with front and rear heating and a/c. Currently the hot air is not blowing out of the front even when the temp knob is turned to the hottest setting. I believe it may be the actuators. Where are the actators located and how can I get to them. Are they behind the glove box?
I have the same problem with my 2001 Tahoe. The front blower is working, its blowing strong, but its cold air even with the temp setting as high as it can get. The rear blows hot air. The engine temp guage is at about 210ish which is close to being normal (220). I just replaced the thermostate a few months ago, I don't know if its bad again, or it I deluted the antifreeze too much and it frooze the heater core, or if the heater core just went bad. Any one know what the cause could be?
I am also in the same fix. 01 Tahoe; rear air is blowing but the front is not. Has anyone found a solution on this yet? I'm fixing to buy a new Temp Control panel and see if that fixes it. Any thoughts?
2001 tahoe, front works on setting 4 and 5 nothing in the rear!!!! Replacing Blower Resistor Motor today!!! It is located under the glove box, not behind glove box! Will let you all know later this after noon if this fixes the problem. Cheap fix if it works! Autozone $26.00!
I have a 2001 tahoe as well and the front blows outside air it seems like but on warm days if i turn the setting to 1 it will blow kind of warmer air. The back heating blows warm air but ive been trying to locate the problem and replaced the thermostat then the nobs and it wasnt either of those
I had same problem with my 2001 Tahoe. Front heat not working but rear heat was. ...I flushed the heater core and refilled the antifreeze. It is blowing hot air now like new...
Is the fan blowing but the air is not coming out where you want it, or is the fan not blowing at all? If the air is not coming out where you want it, the actuators are the cause due to having no vacuum. If the fan does not blow at all, it may be the fuse or resistor. I offer this advice being unable to tell you where to find the resistor but it should be near the fan housing. I would try pulling the glove box if the fuse looks good.

did you find a fix for it. i have the same problem with the front heater blowing cold air instead of hot but the back blows hot. My tahoe is a 2001 as well. I wonder if this is a universal problem with the 2001 model.
