well lets try inspecting your coolant temp sensor for the ecu, not for your gage it is green whit two wires going into it, if any corrosion replace sensor and pigtail, your ecu may be dumping lots of fuel thinking eng still cold when is hot, this also wahs off your rings and by adding oil bumps compression and starts, hope this helps.
stuck open injector. unplug them one at a time or pull the spark plugs and turn the key on and see which cylinder fills with gas. call a toyota dealer with the VIN and see if its a software issue
Use an automotive heat gun set to low setting and gently pry the old molding off, then locate an automotive paint/body shop supply store and buy a roll of the special molding double sided tape to put it back on, you will have to buy a whole roll , it will be pricey.

What specific code number did you get? If you do not have the diagnostic code number have the computer scanned again at any autoparts or similar parts store and let me know what the code number is and I can then help further.
Check you transmission fluid for proper levels. If ok, have the transmission oil and filter changed!! If that doesnt remedy the issue, its possible the transmission needs to be replaced or rebuilt!!
