Charge or replace the car battery as low volts can cause this type of fault
to move re place the battery leads turn on dash lights put foot on brake and put in in neutral as there is a elec lock on the gear stick opperated by brake padel

Put the battery cables back on shut the doors and lock the drivers door with the key then unlock it with the key. This will shut the alarm off it it goes off and may get the car out of the lockdown mode it seems that it is currently in. If that does not work you may try and call your local Mitsubishi dealer and ask one of the guys in the service or parts dept if the car has a lock down mode and what procedure has to be done to unlock it, mor than likley the will tell you and you wont have to spend a dime. This is all regarding the factory alarm however.
My guess is it has something to do with the anti theft security system. This is the system that has to do with that little black chip in the shaft of you key. Is the SECURITY light lit up on the dash when you put the key in? If you see it at all, this is your problem. Check this link for info http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/ and answers to the problem.
find the alarm box to adjust the sensitivity 9 times out of 10 time the alarm box is located on the opposite side of the engine away from the battery. but if it's a factory alarm you can call the dealer for the location better yet check the owner manual for the location.
you need to reset alarm/immobiliser.lock car with remote, hold button down for 30 secs, then press/hold down unlock button, should reset.another way is with key in ignition/turned on, press alarm button down and hold for 30 secs.this resets immobiliser.toyota
systems vary..depending on market.
Okay you may want to check to see if the sensor on door lock cylinder hasn't fallen off from the lock itself. Pull of the door panels and check the wires at the door lock cylinder. Hope this helps.
put the key in the drivers door lock and lock and unlock it three times. make sure all door, hood and trunk are completely closed before doing this.
do you have a key fob?
