I am having a problem with my 2004 Honda Accord Sport 2.2 Diesel- here is my issue-- in cold conditions the heater plug light flashes continuously and the engine looses power allowing only revs up to and under 2000- it loses pick-up and performance. I brought it too my mechanic who did a reading on it in mild weather and could find no fault- yesterday the heater plugs flashed and performance slowed again and going up a hill the car began to chung slightly then the engine management light came on and the car died. After about 5-10 mins I was able to start the car and drive very slowly to the garage.

Do you plug it in at night and in cold weather? Sounds like a fuel problem. Check your fuel filter and add conditioner to your fuel. Hope this helps.

1991 honda accord wagon...the S keeps flashing off and on seems to jump between sport mode and standard...what could this be?

This is your transmission control unit telling you there is a problem. I have another post here (http://www.fixya.com/cars/t5554380-92_honda_accord_d4_light_flashing) with details on how to diagnose. This link says "flashing D4 light" but the issues it the same. 90-91 accords have flashing S lights for TCU errors, and 92-93 have flashing D4 lights.

My glow plug light does't always come on first time I turn the key on my 2004 Accord diesel, when this happens the car just turns over and won't start. If I wiggle the key a few times the light comes on...

Engine overheats. plus once engine running a green flashing light with a (s) on it.

#1. Check coolant level,(engine stone cold and not running) change to a new one if not done in last 2 years.
#2. Change thermostat to a new one, Honda thermostat only, also every 2 years.
#3. In the thermostat housing there is a "coolant switch A" you should have a plug going to it, unplug it and while your engine is running almost at operating temp, bridge 2 wires with a wire, your cooling fan/fans should come on, also check for continuity you should have no continuity when engine is cold and continuity when the engine is at operating temp.

#4. If there is no continuity when engine is at operating temp then you need a new "coolant switch A"

Let me know here, if you need more help.

check your oil level it may be a vtec related fault code, failing that it will need to be plugged into a code reader.
