as far as i can tell the P1351 code is Ignition Coil Control Circuit High Voltage or it could be crankshaft sensor as my old Renault had this problem, and the P1440 is your petrol or gas cap. make sure its on tight when you fill up your car.
Code is for the EVAP canister valve - the computer opens this valve to vent fumes from the gas tank. Could be a problem with the valve, or the line to the tank.
there is not a code P1440 on the 01 impala, with either the 3.8L or 3.4L V6 engines. there is a code P1441 for both it is the EVAP system flow during system test which is most likly a bad seal on the gas cap.
The P1440 code is for a small EVAP leak. Your gas cap being loose is a common EVAP problem. If not that, the EVAP canister is also well known for developing small cracks.
The P1400 code is for the EGR solenoid and not for the valve. The
solenoid control the opening and closing of the valve. You should check
the solenoid hoses and the connector. Also check if there is voltage at
the green/yellow wire.
according to info i have it is p1440 purge valve stuck open. given that there are several, you will need to track down which one. i would guess that it would be one near the evap canister.
