The car will not heat up at all. No matter how long the car is running it still wont get warm. I thought that it might be the thermostat. but then i checked the radiator. I checked the radiator fluid, and there was no pressure. the fluid wasnt flowing through the tubes at all, and it would heat up a little bit if i squeezed the tubes and then it heated up a little bit. but then went cold again. What could be wrong.
Did you "bleed " the system when you filled it with coolant ? You have to put in a some coolant and water.1/2and 1/2 mixture, Make sure it is the right coolant. All color coolant works fine.Rune the vehicle for a while . Turn off the vehicle and let it cool. Turn the radiator cap and a hiss of air will come out. Use a Rag . Be careful not to burn yourself. The pour some more coolant and water . And repeat the process until radiator is full. Some cars have a bleeder valve that you turn counter clockwise with a screwdriver near the thermostat housing or near the radiator hose .
I believe your 1st diagnosis that it was the thermostat was correct. If the thermostat is stuck open (or removed), the car will not heat up. The thermostat opens and closes to regulate the engine temp. So I agree w/ you, it's time to change the thermostat!

done so , far far from home, many times, hoses ruptured.
i think you meant the heater core hoses leaked
so I bypassed them with new hose.
some do this on warm tropical islands and run like that for ever
in fact , my first car a 1964 dodge, it was on option (heat)
there are exceptions, on some cars, as the hose feeds the thermostat base in this very odd way, (rice cars)
but not this car.
this could be a number of.things.here
one thing comes to mind
your PCM, the circuit board inside is cracked, when cold it is together and when it warms up, the crack separates and kills the car

one test can be done,.when the car is cold, use a heat gun, hair drier, start your car, then use the heat gun.and warm up your PCM, if the car dies after you heated it up and the rest of the.car is still warming up, then replace the PCM
Or if you.have a scan tool,.hook it up and start your car, see if there are any codes, if not wait till it warms up and when it dies check.scan tool to see if you still have a connection or if it says.NO BUS, if any ofthese, the the PCM is gone
you could take it to Autozone and have them hook it up, but you have to get your car there first
it also could be other things to, coil, cap, fuel pump.and so on
is there anything else going on
YOU MAY HAVE A AIR BUBBLE IN YOUR SYSTEM. NO MATTER HOW HOT THE CAR GETS IT WON'T PUSH HEAT THROUGH THE AIR BUBBLE. LOOK FOR THE HIGHEST POINT IN YOUR COOLING SYSTEM. I SUSPECT A HEATER HOSE. YOU HAVE TO GET THE AIR OUT OF IT.
The most common cause of your problem is a faulty TPS (throttle position sensor) which regulates the idle speed under all conditions (cold, warm, ac on). When the TPS fails, it's usually under 1 of the conditions (cold or warm) and not the others. Below is a picture of the TPS in your car. Best of luck with your problem.

it will not move because it is low on transmission fluid, warming the car casues the fluid to expand therefore making movement possible. also fluid looses viscosity when heated so you may want to look a full fransmission fluid and filter change. But still, get your car warm and check the transmission fluid, i bet its low. Dont forget to rate.
Well the heat from a car comes from the coolant which warms up from the engine being on, so if your engine is off, the coolant wont warm up and flow through the heater core, and you wont get warm air. 95% of cars are like this.
Not really a solution but, check that blend door in heater box is operating and that a/c drain hose is not plugged. (if there is ice in there, it may take a while to clear it out)
Just finished fixing my daughters 1999 taurus heat. It would blow warm only when running down the road. At idle it blew cold. I started with replacing thermostat, and water pump because they are the easier fix. Still did not help. Then I replaced the heater core. A daunting job but not that hard to move the dash slighly out of the way to replace. There is a good write up at tarusclub.com. After that, heat was better but at idle, it would still blow cool sometimes. Researched and found answer. Park car on the steepest hill you can find with front of car up. Start car and take off reservoir cap. Let car warm up and keep rpms about 1500. After a while the fluid will come running out of the car and all over the place but it will bring air bubbles with it. Reduce rpm, add more fluid and repeat about 3 times. It will make a mess but after that, the heater works perfectly. We get heat long before the temp gage indicates any and it never blows cold unless you lower the temp.
