SOURCE: need to know how to bleed it
There would be a bleed nipple on it. It would be located near the bellhousing.
Open nipple a little let fluod seep out until no bubbles in it. Make sure you top the fluid up and dont let it empty.
SOURCE: if the clutch slave cylinder on my 2005 Saturn Vue
No its internal meaning that its in the bell housing. The bell housing is bolted to the gearbox to hous the clutch befor being bolted to the engine. It has no seal on it.So when your slave cylinder leaks,The fluid drips from the bell housing. And the only way to get at it is to remove the gearbox.
SOURCE: i cant get pressure to my clutch pedal in my 1995
You cannot bleed these clutch hydraulics. They are meant to be a pre-bled sealed unit that you buy. You should never replace just the slave or the master. Buy them both and replace them as one unit which is already bled from the factory. Otherwise you will experience what you are describing.
Make sure you install the slave cylinder (into the transmission hole) first and then the master cylinder (pedal side) next and do not hook up the pedal until everything is installed.
If you take the slave out with the pedal attached it will extend the rod and ruin the hydraulics rendering them useless.
SOURCE: Replacing the clutch on a 1998 Saturn SL1
It is very difficult for you to disengage the clutch by hand or with any leverage you can get outside the transmission. There is over 200 lbs of force clamping on the clutch disc.
If you replaced the clutch and took the slave cylinder out of the transmission without putting a brick under the clutch pedal or disconnecting the pivot arm from the pedal then you ruined the hydraulics. Buy a new PRE-BLED system from a local auto store. Generally this is the problem.
Either that or the clutch fork is bent or you installed the throwout bearing backwards (or simply fell off the fork which is not all that uncommon).
SOURCE: trouble bleeding the clutch
all clutch slave cylinders have a bleed screw, one pipe in,the other hole is the bleed screw hole, should be tapered at the bottom, for the screw to deal against, also sits above the pipe,to let the air out
