Rear squealing noise when accelerating. If I very gradually accelerate no noise however with moderate acceleration high pitched squealing sound coming from rear. No other apparent problems. had al breaks changed, no resolution
SOURCE: rhythim dull noise wshen accelerating
well,if it doesnt change with the wheel turned a little it might be a rear wheel bearing or even a couple of loose lugs on a wheel,or even a brake pad worn down to the rivets, can u give a better description of the noise? (metallic, dull thumping,etc...)
SOURCE: my rav4 sounds like a jet engine. a constant whine
i am thinking might be fan belt is slackening ,u need to tighten the belt up

It sounds like a possible wheel bearing failure.Get it checked at a local repair shop ,or possible loose bearing hub.
SOURCE: Transmission issue - almost no reverse & clacking
I've got exactly the same problem in '93 Camry w/5SFE automatic w/248,000mi. Transmission shop I trust told me ****** was gone. Another mechanic said the same. I'll drive it 'til the forward gears stop working. Forward L,2,D work great, except downshifting doesn't slow the car at all, although the engine goes to idle.
Let me know if there is any easy fix! Already did a fluid & filter change. . . .results no change. Thanks, cc
