My brother grabbed the wrong key and while driving with the valet key the car's transmission quit working, though the car ran fine otherwise. Would unhooking the battery possibly help a reset for the right key to 'cure the problem'? I've had it towed to my home. Thanks for any help!
Sometimes valet keys will make the vehicle run in limp mode so no joy riding is possible. Which limp mode limits the power the car will put out while driving.

You have two pumps,I guess you know that ,if you already did one. Did you check fuel pressure at the rail and check out the electronic pressure regulator? What codes are coming up and do they stay set?

ok the latch that holds the trunk closed might be engaged u will have to take a screw driver and press it to release it not the latch on the top the one next to the bumper look closely at the in side of it.

It's probably one of the belts that is defected or needs to be replaced. When are car screams when being started 99% of the time it's a belt. Try that and see what happens
