On the dash of my 92 pajero the two front wheels keep flashing green when its not in 4x4 how ever i degreased under the engine and gearbox and realised after.that the lights had stop flashing until my son moved the shift out of 2h once i put it back they started flashing again what could it be ? all the 4x4 works fine.

SOURCE: I have a 1998 glx

It depends on how long it flashes for, when you select 2wd try and drive for a bit at slow speed and the light should stop. This is normal. If it is still flashing when you are driving then it may not be changing correctly, this could be a number of things but I would recommend you get a pro to check it out as the transfer case is very expensive to replace.

SOURCE: 1999 Mitsuishi Montero sport 2H shift light flashing

Bad 4wd position sensor located on transfer case or bad sensor located on right front axle housing for 4wd engagement position.

SOURCE: when i put my mitsubishi pajero into 4X4 and make a full turn

were you on hard ground when you tried turning on 99 % of your 4x4 your wheels have to be in very loose dirt ,sand. snow. mud when turning sharp if you were on a hard surface the sound was your front axle trying leave your 4x4 but if you were not look at your transmission mount and motor mounts i actually sheered off my tranny mount trying to crawl sharply over large rock i was in dakota my truck engine attached to front axle axle turns motor shifted trans mount broke

SOURCE: why are the four wheel dash light on in my

shift the 4wd shift to the disengaged position. If the lights still stay on the 4WD may be sticking. when i engage my 4WD if i stop the vehicle immediaetly after the lights will stay on when I switch on the ignition next time. however on starting and moving off after a few seconds they come off.

You need to have the system scanned for fault codes.
