I need to know whatelse i should be looking for other than the possible leak from the rear main seal? if im going to replace it myself are there any other seals or gaskets i need to replace, and how do i disassemble in order to replace the seal?
The valve cover gaskets are prone to leaks and bad ones at that. Cleans the entire engine and rive it to confirm the source of the leaks or leaks.. Remember the oil runs down hill and to the rear of the engine and gets all over from leaking valve cover gaskets.

It is fairly easy to do. remove rear wheels and brake drums, remove the differential cover, rotate the diff to access the diff pin bolt and remove, remove pin, push axles inward and remove c clips, slide out axles and replace seals. reverse procedure

This is not possible. If you do end up putting a seal in, make sure that you pack grease around the girdle spring so that when you tap it in, the spring does not pop out.

The pan gasket is cheap. Remove the pan install new gasket. A shop would charge around $100. Now the main seal, it will run you $800+ to fix. Difficult and time consuming.

There is supposed to be a washer on the drain plug. It's either plastic or copper. It's either missing or more likely embedded with dirt or grit and won't seal properly. Simply pick up a new one when you do your next oil change and replace it then. Always wipe the oilpan off around the drain and clean the drain plug and washer before you re-install them. Hope this helps.
