Check blend door motor for proper operation (vacuum operated) if necessary, detach arm from heater box and move by hand. If you have heat then, change motor! You are reaching operating temp for engine, right? If not, thermostat is stuck open... Change.

Hello: Check the coolant level, fill up the reservoir and run truck, if reservoir shows low again fill it back up. If reservoir was low/empty the check for leaks. Do this before you replace thermostat. The heater core would not create this kind of condition.

Car wont blow hot air
Does it blow any air at all?

If it does, then check the operation of the valve, situated on the side of the heater matrix.
The heater matrix is in the centre of the vehicle, under the dash. Roughly behind where most car stereos are situated.
You'll have to remove any black, plastic shrouds to get to it.
Work the hot/cold setting and check the valve for movement.
If it is a motor actuated valve and in the even the valve doesn't move, then also check power to the motor.
If you have no power to the motor, or if the cable operated valve isn't moving then check the switch mechanism or wire/wiring.

What should i do when the hot air doesn't work
does the air not blow when it is turned to hot or does it blow but just not hot? If it blows but not hot you need to replace your thermostat and heater core which looks like a little radiator under your dash.

1995 saturn sl2 heater blows but doesn't get hot
Could be several things. First, when car is fully warmed up, open hood and feel your two heater hoses coming out of firewall. Make sure your heater control is on hot, both hoses should feel hot. If only one is hot, your heater core inside heater case is either restricting flow (clogged) or an air pocket is restricting flow in your coolant(need to "burp" system-get all the air out of your cooling system) . If heater core is good, and circulating good, then you may have a temp. control door that is inoperative under dash, and not allowing air to move over your heater core. Good luck.

My 1999 Chevy Malibu runs hot? It started when it overheated. We changed the thermostat, then water pump, then temp sensor gauge and the temp gauge goes high but only when the heater stops blowing hot...
Air pockets will make the guage do that, and also cause your heat to come and go. Also, a poor radiator, as in rotting, or plugged up, will cause high temperature issues.

Temperature gauge fluctuates and the heater blows cold air
Definitely check your fluid level in your radiator. Top it off all the way. I've seen that happen multiple times on cars that were low on anti-freeze. If that doesn't work try replacing your thermostat. It's cheap and the easiest place to start if topping off the fluid doesn't get you fixed up.
