Won't start I have a '97 Cutlass Supreme SL coupe with 3.1 V6, 115500 miles and it was running good until recently when it would die and not even try to start. the fuel pump and filter were changed and it ran for awhile but now it died again and won't start. I know there is a relay for the pump, but would there be a kill switch of any kind like some cars have to cut off fuel if there was an accident? If so, how can I reset it? I 'm pretty sure it's a fuel problem because the valve on the fuel rail had very little pressure with ignition switch on.
I have a 97 old aurora that just dies while I am driving. After it dies it is hard to start and it smells like gas. I have had new spark plugs, wires and fuel filter about 1,000 miles ago.

There is a red wire close to the battery in the front. It's not connected to anything. Apply positive voltage and that will run your pump for testing purposes.
May just be bad fuel If it has sat for that long. your fuel can be restored with an additive you can get from any auto parts store.I would try that first to rule that out.
you most likely have a injector breaking down which is causing the quad driver in the computer which control the injector pulse to shut down .When a injector resistance is to low this will happen the correct resistance in ohms is 12.4 per each injector .This was a very common problem with 88 to 97 gm cars.have this zcheck at a reliable shop :)
If you put new rotors on and used the old pads that could be your problem. You never put new rotors on, with out new pads even when the old pads look new. Also just because the rotors are new does not mean thery are not warped. I have done a lot of break jobs where i have had to take the rotors back off and had them turned because they were warped right out of the box.
You need to check a service manual on this but it sounds a bunch like a cold-start valve isn't closing once the engine is warm and this would cause an overly rich fuel-air mix that would gag a warm engine.
I don't know if your car is equipped with one or not.
