I have the same problem; one day i went to put the seat up and the leg wouldn't go back in place. I checked my warranty and of course it had just run out 20 days prior! If anyone knows how to fix this that would be great!

Honda now offers metal 9zinc) cable retractors for the rear seat legs thet are supposeed to retract automatically wher you forld the seaat up. About $8.00 each. You will need tow of them. one for each seat. atahe original ones were plastic so at least these are a better solution. The dealer printed out the instructions on how to repair this problem and the part numbers you will need to do so. Ask your local Honda dealer service tech for a copy of the Honda bullitin that was sent out about March 2011 on this issue. This bulliten is very helpfull. Mcgrath Honda in Elgin Ill. gave me a copy of it.

Solution is to go to www.ridgelineownersclub.com forum. Do a search on rear seat pulleys. Honda uses cheap plastic pulleys in the seat retraction assembly. There are a couple of people providing machined stainless or aluminum pulleys for around $100 for the pair. (for both seats). If you have fixed free under warranty, the dealer will use the same cheap pulleys.

Fuel pump replacement. You may be able to just replace the fuel level sender. There was a recall on the fuel pump relay.

Remove rear seat from Honda Ridgeline 2006 ?

1. Pull the plastic panels off under the seat. pull them straight forward to remove them.
2. Remove the six bolts (14mm) holding the seat and center seatbelt in place.
3. Pop the two small plastic covers at the top and behind the seat using a trim removal tool or screwdriver. Cover the screwdriver with something so you don't damage anything.
4. Lift the seat straight upward and take it out

How do I remove the rear seat of 2011 Honda Ridgeline?

It is bolted to the floor by two bolts or nuts on studs front and rear, there is likely plastic trim covers over the bolts. Disconnect any wiring under the seat before lifting out.

Seat bar not retracting

Typically there are plastic cable pulleys used in the seat retraction system that routinely fail. These have been replaced with metal ones by Honda, and are fairly cheap. Save yourself a ridiculous labor charge and go to www.ridgelineowersclub.com and search for seat - pulley - repair, etc. There are excellent descriptions on how to fix it. It will take about 30-45 min max. Make sure to replace BOTH pulleys for the rear seats. This forum is a priceless resource for Ridgeline owners. Honda Ridgeline Owners Club Forums

How to remove the rear seat of a Honda Ridgeline 2010.

1. Pull the plastic panels under the seat bottom straight forward to remove them.

2. Remove the six bolts (14mm) holding the seat and center seatbelt in place.

3. Pop the two small plastic covers at the top and behind the seat using a trim removal tool or screwdriver tip covered in masking tape.

4. Lift the seat straight upward.

5. Remove.

The Service Manual states a 35 ft lb torque and must be re-installed in a certain sequence for the 6 seat anchor bolts (not the seat belt bolts). When putting the rear seat back in install the bolts in this order. (1) center left (2) center right (3) left lower (4) right lower (5) left upper (6) right upper.

Back seats legs will not retract.

Most likely the problem is due to the little white wheel inside the pivot point on the seat. This little white wheel holds the other end of the cable which is attached to the legs. This wheel likes to snap in half - and is a noted problem on the Ridgeline (just ask a dealer). Want even better news? You CANNOT buy this part unless you purchase the ENTIRE seat frame for a mere $325. You can purchase EVERYTHING else in the assemble but this cheap plastic wheel. Sounds fishy but that is what Honda has decided to do to their consumers. Calling the Honda customer service number won't help you so don't bother!
