Your fuel sending unit is attached to the fuel pump,it is sold as a assembly and the fuel tank has to be removed to get to pump.

SOURCE: fuel pump bad?

If you have 12 volts and a good ground on the pump harness and the pump isn't running, it's a fair bet that the pump has failed.

SOURCE: I have a 96 Chevy S10 Blazer. It cranks but

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

Looks like that you have a faulty ignition coil. If the coil is burnt or faulty you'll have low amp on reading. You may get fire on the plugs but it surely is not enough to make or keep the car running. I strongly suggest that you have it replaced to resolve the issue.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

SOURCE: 2003 chevy S10. some gauges & light don't work

When these gauges start going on GM autos it is almost always a new instrument cluster. On 2002 to 2006 GM's we replace 5-10 per week. (We have over 220,000 vehicles in our fleet)

Explain how a new fuel pump doesn't work

I only had that once on my 1965 corvette
A new pump had been assembled with the

You must have fuel to the carb & thus you need
to take the carb apart & work on that

So far I found that NAPA is the only source for
a carb kit

2000 chevrolet s10 extended cab. oil pressure is around 60-80 lbs. runs very slow and doesn't shift gears well. a mechanic said it could be the catalytic converter. any other suggestions on what to do?

Have you check your fuel filter? How much pressure is coming out the tail pipe when you rev up the engine? Hold your hand about 10 inches from the tail pipe and have someone rev up the engine. If you do not feel alot of exhaust flow and it's real hot, he may be right. The proper way to check this is with a vacuum gauge or back pressure gauge. I would ck the fuel filter also. Hope this helps, TJ

Fuel gauge not working properly. Says fuel tank full when fuel tank empty

Could be 3 thing - the gauge on the dash, the wiring or the fuel level indicator in the tank. All three are not easily accessible - the best test would be to measure the voltage on the level sensor on the tank.

It usually means removing the fuel tank and start measuring. If its ok, supply voltage to the lead towards the fuel gauge. If the gauge doesn't move it's wiring or the fuel gauge itself.
